v.07 Progress Log

Progress Log

Good jump this week, especially in code! I completed the art for that last event and got the next script, which is a big one as it's nearing the end of Sunny's arc, fully in the engine. I'll be starting in on roughs tomorrow so I'll have a better idea on exactly how big, but I expect this to be a sizable event in terms of art and as such I would temper expectations on this level of progress next week - a lot of art = a lot of time, which means likely less visual progress overall.

Redraw stream tomorrow, I think we're getting into Mae's Science class intro event, and then a new Teaser on Wednesday! I'll see y'all then, have a great week!

It's one of the most well written game out there and the animations are crazy!! Thank you so much for making this game!

Most of the sites offering your game feature the latest updates, so I think it would be a good idea to reduce the number of updates to smaller ones that will make you appear more often on the home page. Another point is the frustration that I and others feel because updates take time but every time you release an update it hits the nail on the head thank you very much for this work of art.

appreciate that you enjoy the game, can't have it both ways though.

Updates are good because I give myself room to let the story develop and have a satisfying payoff. Good writing (which I'll leave to y'all to decide, we try haha) takes time, good art takes time, good animations take time. Like, we want the same level of quality but to somehow truncate the story progression to get more out in the same amount of time but still have it be as good... like, no, dude, that's not how it works. We work as hard and as much as we can to get stuff out, the time it takes is the time it takes. Enjoy the game, play other stuff in the interim.

Also, just a sidebar/final thought here, what the heck is telling me to keep my game updated more often so it appears on pirate site's front pages more often supposed to do?

The game is taking too long to update, judging by the progress it's been going on, it's an update every 6 months even though it shows the development and everything, it's been a long time that the game has been stopped, whether on cell phones or computers, it could increase to 3 or 4 updates per year, it would greatly improve the players' desire to follow, just look at the messages in this vlog from when the update came out and now, there are almost no more comments, this is due to the delay in updates.

I mean a small team and 2D animation take time, plus he's almost done I think plenty will stop by to see the update soon enough

I understand you want to play the newest update as quick as possible, but that has no bearing on what is logistically possible. Complaints about speed have no effect on how quickly the updates are released.

We'll release the update when we deem it ready, and not a second before. Look forward to it.

yes, I understand, but this is a constructive criticism, life is not all about congratulations, I really like the vices game and for me it is one of the best but this part of the update, I think that for many Demon Deals players the delay in updating is something that vices could improve, just a tip, several new tools are there, try to keep up to date with this, to speed up your work and speed up the release of updates, but thanks again and again. great week

I'm sorry, but as someone who has followed adult VN's etc for many years now I can tell you that quality is much more preferred over quantity. I'm happy to take 2-3 updates a year that are of high quality instead of 6-12 updates every month or so and the quality just isn't polished enough. I think you need to take your self righteous opinion, look in the mirror and maybe realise that 'THEY DON'T OWE YOU ANYTHING'. Let them cook, they haven't let their followers down at all, have always been consistent with updates and the quality of their updates have always been top notch. Keep it up @breadman and team!

Do you know how to read and interpret? Because you said exactly what I said, read it again and get your answer because I think you didn't read my message and just made your own conclusions!

It's not constructive criticism at all, it's just flat out criticism and acting like you know better.

what the heck are "vices" in this context? I use the latest drawing software and we use the latest RPGMaker version, we're already doing the most we can.

Great game breadman. Not to rush anything but are you guys considering tech updates after the game finish. Like what summertime saga is doing.
